The by-laws of the MaP Doctoral School stipulate the appointment of a doctoral student representative to complete the Executive Committee of the School, consisting of the professorial co-chairs of thematic tracks, professorial director and vice-director of the MaP Doctoral School, a doctoral student representative and the Chair of MaP. In an uncontested vote, Zazo Meijs was elected to represent the doctoral student body for the next year.

Zazo is following in the footsteps of Dr. Murielle Schreck, who accompanied the launch of the MaP Doctoral School in the same function. His goal is to foster student interaction by offering more periodic activities.

Zazo is a doctoral student in the “soft” track, studying under Prof. Lucio Isa at the Laboratory for Soft Materials and Interfaces. He has shown his initiative for the MaP Doctoral School in the past year by organising guided lab tours for “soft” track members and by co-organising the MaP Graduate Symposium in 2021.
