FunGathering

The monthly FunGathering seminar series brings together researchers who share a passion for fungi. It is designed to promote interdisciplinary exchange across ETH departments.

Next seminar

FunGathering – bringing together researchers who share a passion for fungi

Are you working with mycelium, fungal-based composites, or the incredible world of fungal biology and engineering? Whether you’re deep in the lab or just curious about the future of bio-materials, we want to build a community with you.

This new seminar series aims at exchanging knowledge and networking with like-minded researchers. It will be a place to discuss challenges, share protocols, and follow current trends in fungi-based materials.

All you need to know:

  • What? Two presentations from students or junior researchers, followed by drinks and snacks, generously provided by the MaP Doctoral School
  • Who? For and by researchers working with or interested in fungi
  • When? Monthly on a Tuesday, 17.00-18.00
  • Where? ETH Hönggerberg, HCI G 541 (on site only)
  • Why? Our goal is to create a friendly, stimulating space for junior researchers to connect

The seminar series is hosted by Dr. Mathias Steinacher (Complex Materials, D-MATL) and Judith Gómez Cuyàs (Nanometallurgy, D-MATL)
